I founded John Shaw Computers, Inc. in January of 2008. A native of Tallahassee, Florida, I have been actively working with computers and computer technology for over 10 years. I fixed my first computer at age 11, and was contracted as a web designer and web master at the age of 15.

I worked for Leon County Schools in the summer of 2003, setting up the new computers bought for schools from the half-cent sales tax raise. I assisted in deploying over 1,000 computers to our local elementary, middle, and high schools.

Over the next few years, I worked house-calls and small-time jobs on the side, eventually taking up a full-time position as web master for a local publishing company, Washington Publishers, and its many subsidiaries. Since then, I have successfully created, marketed, and maintained over 100 websites.

Finally, in early 2008, I incorporated my business as John Shaw Computers.

I am completely self-taught. While I never pursued college for a degree or computer certification, I firmly believe that hands-on experience is the best tool for solving technical issues. I am proficient in many technology-related areas, including computer networking, film, audio/video editing, tv and home theater installation, car audio installation, and more.

I have served hundreds of people in the Tallahassee area, including small businesses, without the use of major advertising. Most of my clients are referred by word of mouth, with over 90% returning to me for my services. My primary goal is to serve Tallahassee with the best technical services, at the most reasonable rate.
